Metrics-obsessed
Every feature starts with the number it's meant to move and ends with whether it moved it. I'd rather read the data than defend an opinion.
I'm Vipul Kothari, a product manager. For six-plus years I've taken products from a blank page to something people use every day — in fintech, in jobs for Bharat, in a social app that reached $3mn a month, and in eight products I've built and shipped myself.

[ Lokal · Social app · 0→1 ]
Launched a micro-transactional social app and owned its roadmap end to end — personalised offers, gamified in-call recharge and expansion to 10+ countries.
[ Lokal · Jobs · Growth ]
Launched a new app and rebuilt onboarding, profile completion and the first-time experience.
[ Lokal · Jobs · Employers ]
Launched payment recording and in-product payments for employers.
[ Lokal · Jobs · SEO ]
Built an SEO-optimised job-seeker website and drove the technical SEO and content roadmap.
[ OTO Capital · Fintech ]
Built a decision engine for soft approval and rejection to filter leads, backed by alternate device-data underwriting.

[ 03 — How I work ]
Every feature starts with the number it's meant to move and ends with whether it moved it. I'd rather read the data than defend an opinion.
I've built for job seekers in tier 2 and tier 3 India and for people financing a two-wheeler. Good product starts with sitting in their shoes.
I strip a problem down to what's actually true about the user, the economics and the constraints — then build up from there.
User research first, then a fast first version in front of real users. Learning compounds when the loop is short.
[ 04 — Experience ]
Started on a jobs platform for India's tier 2 and tier 3 audience — users often underserved by products designed for metros — then launched and led a new social application.
Built OTO's e-commerce journey on the website and the app from scratch — taking a customer from browsing a two-wheeler to getting it financed.
